Day Counter — Count the Days Between Any Two Dates
The Day Counter (also called a date-to-date calculator) lets you quickly find:
- The exact number of days between two dates
- What date falls N days after a start date (find end date)
- What date was N days before an end date (find start date)
Results include the total count of calendar days, business days (Mon–Fri), weeks, months, and years.
How to Use the Days Calculator
Choose a calculation mode, fill in the required fields, and click Calculate:
- Days Between Dates – Enter a start date and an end date to get the number of days between them.
- Find End Date – Enter a start date and a number of days to find out what date that lands on.
- Find Start Date – Enter an end date and a number of days to work backwards to the start date.
How Many Days Between Dates?
Suppose your project is due on September 27 and today is July 14. Enter July 14 as the start date and September 27 as the end date — the calculator will instantly show 75 days remaining (and how many of those are business days).
You can also use it in reverse: enter September 27 as the end date and 14 days as the count to find the progress-check date of September 13.
Business Days vs. Calendar Days
Calendar days count every day of the week. Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays (and do not account for public holidays). Use the business day count when planning work deadlines.
FAQs
- Does Saturday count as a business day?
- No. Saturday (and Sunday) are weekend days and are excluded from the business-day count.
- Do holidays count as business days?
- Public holidays are not automatically excluded by this calculator (it only skips weekends). If you need to exclude specific holidays, subtract them manually from the business-day total.
- How do I count days manually?
- If both dates fall in the same week, subtract the earlier day-of-week number from the later one. For dates in different weeks, add 7 for each additional week difference and then subtract.
